Part Six | A Night full of Color

Date: December 9th, 2024

Location: Purple Easel | Ontario, California

This was a night full of color and I’m not just talking about the paintings.

So this one gets a bit dramatic (or at least I think it does). I had planned for us to do a paint night together as one of our dates the moment I saw her paintings. I thought to myself “It would be an amazing thing to do together”. Before the paint night, I had asked her if we could go on a walk together in a nearby park. We decided to meet at Prospect Park in Redlands.

We met up there and went on a walk together for sometime and then decided to get something to eat. I figured we would carpool together and then go to the paint night and then I would take her back home, no later than 8PM or so. She ended up leaving her car there at the park which had a gate (this is an important point which I’ll bring up later.

So we went to get something to eat (we had Chinese; it was good lol) and then after we ate, we went to our paint night. Here are some pictures…

Ok so here’s where the story takes a turn. I get a weird feeling in my stomach as we’re leaving. I’m thinking to myself – Did the park have a gate? I really hope the park did not have a gate. Spoiler: It had a gate

We arrive back at the park and as you guessed, the gate was closed. So her car is locked up in the park… Or so we thought.

Apparently, the police had called her parents to come pick up the car🤦. We did not know this at the time until her parents called and mentioned that they had the car.

Now here is the part when I knew this girl is amazing. After finding out that the gate is locked and that her parents have the car, one would naturally be nervous. Despite this, she was so reassuring that everything was going to be find “It’s okay.. It’s okay. It’s not a big deal” Words that echo in my mind till this very day. Not so much what she said but how she said it and how she made an effort to provide even the slightest level of reassurance and comfort.

Anyway, this was the day where I met her parents for the first time. We chatted for a bit and then that was that. However, I couldn’t escape the feeling of wanting to see her yet again…
